The Seedy Seeds Have a New Demo!

Cincinnati's own dynamic duo are back and with a third member! The Seedy Seeds are back and seedier than ever with a brand new set of songs. Some of which I think I may have seen performed back when The Shrieking Shack was still going. Nevertheless, their new songs are just what you want from these guys: Energetic, electro, banjo-laced music you can really dance to.

These guys are about as cute to see live as their music is. It's really a treat to see them perform live. So if you're interested, then you're in luck! Here's their updated show schedule:

You really ought to check them out if you've never heard of them or listened to them. They're definitely one of my more favorite local bands from the Lexington-Louisville-Cincinnati area.

Veckatimest Drops May 26

First off, sorry for my truancy. Just got something big finished and with that load off of my shoulders, I can focus on this.

So I'll admit. I'm a bad kid who can't wait to listen to an album I'm excited for. So when I heard that Veckatimest had leaked so early... I had to take a listen. I realize a lot of people have been giving high praise to albums that sound consistently the same from track to track lately while everyone else sort of just bitches and moans about how it sounds the same. It's a desparity between listener and critic that I will never understand.

But perhaps this one time, I'm going to agree with Pitchfork. Veckatimest is pretty pleasing to the ears. For those of you worried about possible monotony, fear not! Veckatimest might be misleading at first, but upon second listen, I realized that the instrumental elements of each song were beautifully crafted and quite diverse.

Of course, there's not much you can do about Ed Droste and Daniel Rossen's harmonies. But a consistency in vocals is a pretty integral part of any band's identity, so give these guys a chance, all you Pitchfork haters out there. Veckatimest was a nice surprise.

The song that's really stuck with me so far has been "Two Weeks" but the band recently performed "While You Wait for the Others" for "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" only a week ago on the 21st. And for those of our currently non-existent readers who like the idea of mash-up like I do; you should check out The Hood Internet's "Two Weeks of Hip Hop". It's a really great pairing of "Two Weeks" music and back-up vocals and Dead Prez's vocals from "Bigger than Hip Hop".

Uh. Well I'm not going to wax too eloquent here. I'm Olivia Erickson. I prefer Liv, though, Erica Eriksone is also acceptable. I like long walks on the beach and good music.
Which is why I'm typing at 1 in the morning (we're night owls here). We have brought this infant blog out into the world not only to junk up the bandwidth, but to inform the good people of our many useless but entertaining opinions on music today. As two little indie-fucks, we should know. Kidding. Anyhow, I hope you find some amusement from this. And if that isn't enough to keep you interested. I'm making a playlist of sexy songs that I find to be sexy.... But I feel like that's getting a little ahead of myself this early in the relationship. Sorry.

Hello and welcome to All Wrongs Reserved. This is a new music blog that I, as well as Olivia, have decided to make to update people of new music that is underway. And maybe talk about some old works that we find to be stuck on the roof of my head. We will also be updating the people in our area of Lexington, KY of various concerts that will be making a stop in or around us and giving our thoughts on said concerts*. Now for my introduction. My name is Ronnie Donahue. I've been wanting to embark on this venture for the past few years now and with the help of my partner, Olivia, I am now ready to start.
